Job Description

Overview Magnera's purpose is to better the world with new possibilities made real. For more than 160 years, the originating companies have delivered the material solutions their partners need to thrive. Through economic upheaval, global pandemics and changing end-user needs, they have consistently found ways to solve problems and exceed expectations. By bringing together these legacy companies, the distinct scale and comprehensive portfolio of products will bring customers more materials and choices. With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world. The EHS Intern will support the Americas Region by improving the consistency, clarity, and usability of our near miss and incident reporting process. As we roll out VelocityEHS as our primary reporting tool, the intern will help streamline the reporting workflow, simplify the user experience, and develop materials that make reporting easier for frontline employees and supervisors.

Their work will directly support the broader EHS strategy of improving visibility into risk and moving toward a more standardized approach across the company. Responsibilities Review the current near-miss and incident reporting workflows across selected sites. Analyze 12 months of historic reporting data and compare it to early submissions in VelocityEHS to identify gaps, trends, and adoption barriers. Conduct interviews with employees, supervisors, and site EHS coordinators to understand pain points and improvement opportunities. Map the current process and design a future state reporting workflow aligned with VelocityEHS. Create user friendly materials to support. Develop and recommend improvements to system configuration or communications based on findings. Build a pilot rollout plan for 1-2 sites and support early implementation. Deliver a final presentation summarizing the problem, insights, redesigned workflow, expected business impact, and recommended next steps.
