This is a temporary position.
JOB SUMMARY
As part of Marriott's Change Management and Associate Engagement team, the Flex Director, Change Management and Associate Engagement will support change management and deployment strategies for global transformations. This individual contributor will develop and deliver change management and stakeholder engagement for multiple transformation efforts, focused on supporting leaders and associates through organizational change. They will serve as a strategic partner to business leadership while delivering the strategy, planning, content creation, and distribution of executive and stakeholder communications to a wide range of audiences.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required 4-year degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university required 8+ years' experience leading change management, stakeholder engagement, or communications for business transformation initiatives Proven track record consulting to business leaders and designing, developing, and implementing high-impact change and communications solutions in large organizations, using a variety of delivery methodologies Ability to develop client-ready material and communicate effectively to a broad range of stakeholders (including senior leaders and hotel associates) Strong writer with experience developing and presenting impactful communications and other materials Demonstrated success working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization Preferred Advanced degree a plus Experience supporting change management efforts with legal, finance, or technology teams
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Develop and deliver change management and engagement plans and activities, working across multiple internal disciplines as part of ongoing transformation efforts. Conduct change impact analyses and stakeholder assessments to determine change management needs for impacted stakeholders and define stakeholder engagement plans. Execute change and communications plans that effectively convey the vision, benefits, and progress of transformation efforts by audience ranging from senior leaders to frontline associates. Develop key messaging and materials to support stakeholder engagement, including written communications, presentations, talking points, speaking notes, and FAQs. Partner with HR Business Partner(s) and Organizational Capability leads and their teams to help identify risks, resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement specific plans to mitigate/address concerns. Work closely with continent teams to localize deliverables and ensure consistent global message. Measure the effectiveness of change management and deployment efforts; set targets, track results and create plans to improve programs.
