Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) / Product Owner (PO) with strong GBD business knowledge and hands-on expertise in advanced SQL and data analysis. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, supporting end-to-end requirements gathering, data analysis, validation, reporting, and solution delivery initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in Agile environments. Key Responsibilities Act as a Business Systems Analyst and Product Owner supporting business and technology initiatives. Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Perform hands-on data analysis using advanced SQL queries including joins, subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and performance-optimized queries. Analyze data discrepancies, trends, and patterns to support business decisions and operational improvements. Validate data outputs, reports, and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Support data-driven use cases, integrations, and downstream system consumption requirements. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, defect triage, and sign-off activities. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and data teams to support end-to-end project delivery. Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning activities. Maintain project documentation and requirement artifacts using tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role. Knowledge of GBD business processes and operations. Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and advanced data analysis techniques. Experience writing complex SQL queries for data validation and reporting. Solid understanding of relational databases, data models, and data flows. Experience working with large datasets and supporting analytics and reporting use cases. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with requirement management and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to data warehousing and reporting tools. Experience working in healthcare or insurance environments. Understanding of ETL processes and upstream/downstream data dependencies. Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations.
