Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong healthcare and Third-Party Administration (TPA) domain experience and hands-on expertise with MicroStrategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare business processes, particularly TPA operations, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions. Experience working with legacy BI/reporting environments and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from healthcare and TPA stakeholders.
- Work closely with business users, product owners, project managers, developers, and data teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Leverage MicroStrategy to support enterprise reporting, dashboards, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Analyze existing reports and identify opportunities for enhancement, modernization, and migration.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
- Work with technical teams to define data, reporting, and dashboard requirements.
- Validate data and reporting outputs against business requirements.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test cases, issue tracking, and resolution.
- Analyze healthcare data and business processes related to Third-Party Administration (TPA).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand claims, eligibility, benefits, provider, member, and related healthcare data requirements.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes.
- Assist with troubleshooting reporting and data-related issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide status updates to project leadership.
- Coordinate with offshore and onshore development and data teams as required. Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
- Strong healthcare domain experience.
- Hands-on experience with Third-Party Administration (TPA) processes and systems.
- Strong hands-on MicroStrategy experience is required.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience working with BI, reporting, and analytics platforms.
- Experience creating functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and data requirements.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience with SSRS.
- Experience supporting legacy reporting environments.
- Knowledge of healthcare claims, eligibility, benefits, membership, and provider data.
- Experience with BI/reporting modernization or migration initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
