Team members work closely with clients to design and implement solutions that are practical, sustainable, and aligned with institutional missions. Role Description The Management Consultant is a full-time, remote-first role with travel to client sites, as needed. This role involves working directly with higher education clients to diagnose challenges, analyze data, and develop actionable strategies across strategy, finance, operations, and academic and administrative processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting interviews and workshops with stakeholders, mapping and improving business processes, preparing presentations and reports, and supporting implementation of recommended changes. The right candidate collaborates with internal colleagues and client teams, manages project tasks and timelines, and contributes to thought leadership and firm development activities. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate options, and support evidence-based recommendations. Candidates should possess management consulting experience, including client engagement, problem framing, and solution design. Candidates should possess finance-related skills, such as budgeting, financial analysis, and understanding of higher education financial models. Candidates should possess business process improvement skills, including process mapping, workflow optimization, and change management. Relevant qualifications include excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency with common business and data tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. High-level of sophistication in utilizing AI tools across all components of client service. Experience in higher education or mission-driven organizations, project management capabilities, and a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (such as Business, Economics, Public Policy, or Education) are highly beneficial.
