San Diego, California Position Summary The Business Strategy & Growth Analyst is an entry-level professional role designed to support executive leadership in sales strategy, business development, market analysis, and organizational growth initiatives. Working closely with executive leadership and collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations, and divisional leaders, this position will help improve the organization's ability to track business opportunities, measure sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and execute strategic initiatives. The Business Strategy & Growth Analyst will have primary responsibility for supporting the organization's CRM processes, sales and referral reporting, pipeline analysis, and development of key performance indicators and dashboards. The position will analyze business data and market activity to provide leadership with actionable insights and recommendations. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility over sales or marketing personnel. Rather, the Analyst will serve as a cross-functional analytical and strategic resource, helping leadership and operational teams improve visibility, accountability, and execution across the organization. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCRM & Sales Pipeline Management Support the development, implementation, organization, and ongoing management of the organization's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Establish and maintain processes for accurately tracking inquiries, referrals, prospects, opportunities, and business development activity. Monitor CRM utilization and data quality to ensure opportunities and activities are accurately documented. Develop standardized pipeline stages, reporting processes, and tracking mechanisms in collaboration with leadership and operational teams. Identify gaps in follow-up, documentation, conversion, and sales processes and recommend improvements. Assist leadership in improving visibility into the status and progression of business opportunities. Sales Analytics & Reporting Track and analyze inquiries, referrals, sales activity, conversion rates, referral sources, and pipeline performance. Develop recurring sales and growth reports for executive leadership. Build and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business development and sales performance. Analyze trends and patterns to identify areas of growth, declining performance, missed opportunities, or operational barriers. Evaluate referral-source performance and identify opportunities to strengthen or expand key relationships. Translate business and sales data into concise findings and actionable recommendations for leadership. Business Strategy & Growth Work directly with executive leadership to support the development and implementation of sales, marketing, and organizational growth strategies. Research and analyze potential markets, service lines, geographic expansion opportunities, and other areas of organizational growth. Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, partnerships, referral relationships, and strategic initiatives. Conduct financial, operational, and market analysis to support business decisions. Assist with developing business cases, presentations, forecasts, and recommendations for proposed initiatives. Track strategic initiatives and provide leadership with updates regarding progress, results, and areas requiring additional attention. Marketing & Business Development Support Collaborate with marketing and business development personnel to improve tracking, follow-up, reporting, and execution of growth initiatives. Analyze marketing and outreach activities to help determine effectiveness and return on investment. Assist in identifying high-performing and underperforming referral sources, territories, campaigns, and business development activities. Support the development of targeted outreach and growth strategies based on organizational data and market opportunities. Help establish consistent methods for measuring business development activity and results. Cross-Divisional Growth Work across the organization's divisions and service lines to identify cross-referral and cross-selling opportunities. Analyze referral patterns and identify opportunities to better connect clients, patients, referral partners, and prospective customers with appropriate organizational services. Collaborate with divisional leadership to understand operational capacity, growth priorities, and barriers to accepting or converting new business. Assist executive leadership in developing strategies that improve coordination and business development across the organization. Executive & Strategic Project Support Support executive leadership with special projects, research, analysis, and strategic initiatives. Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, and other materials for leadership review. Organize and analyze information from multiple departments to support executive decision-making. Track action items and outcomes associated with strategic growth initiatives. Perform additional analytical, business development, and strategic responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field. 0-2 years of relevant professional experience; strong internship, academic, or project experience may satisfy the experience requirement. Demonstrated ability to analyze information and communicate findings clearly.
Preferred:
MBA candidate, recent MBA graduate, or demonstrated interest in pursuing advanced business education. Experience or coursework involving business analytics, finance, sales operations, marketing analytics, or strategy. Experience with a CRM platform such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or a comparable system. Experience developing reports, dashboards, or business presentations. Healthcare industry experience or interest in healthcare services is beneficial but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Advanced proficiency or demonstrated capability with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret business and sales data. The Business Strategy & Growth Analyst will work collaboratively with marketing, sales, business development, and operational personnel but will not directly manage those employees unless the position's responsibilities are formally expanded in the future. Compensation Anticipated Salary Range:
$70,000-$85,000 annually , depending on education, relevant experience, technical capabilities, and other job-related qualifications.
