A Business Analyst provides strategic management consulting to companies and businesses. Advises on ways to improve operations, increase efficiency, reduce costs and increase revenues; may recommend systems or organizational change. May specialize in an area of business practice or a specific industry; may also specialize in consulting with government agencies.
If you've helped construction or field operations teams improve the way they work through technology, not just supported IT systems ,we want to meet you. We're looking for a Business Systems Analyst who understands estimating, project management, scheduling, job costing, or field operations and can translate those operational needs into technology solutions that make work easier. This isn't a sit-back-and-gather-requirements kind of role. You'll be working directly with the teams that build, schedule, estimate, and execute real projects in the field —translating complex operational challenges into systems that actually make their jobs easier.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
3+ years supporting business systems in construction, landscaping, field services, utilities, engineering, or another project-based industry. Experience working with operations teams, not just IT. Supported ERP, CRM, estimating, job costing, scheduling, project management, or field service platforms. Gathered business requirements and translated them into technical solutions. Led process improvement initiatives that made field operations more efficient.
What You'll Do:
Partner with Construction Operations, Finance, Estimating, and IT to improve business processes. Analyze workflows and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. Gather business requirements and work with technical teams to implement solutions. Support ERP and operational systems through configuration, testing, training, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Background:
We're especially interested in candidates from industries where projects are planned, estimated, scheduled, and executed in the field, including:
Commercial Landscape Construction General Contractors Heavy Civil Utilities Mechanical/Electrical Contractors HVAC Plumbing Asphalt Roofing Construction Services You'll Probably Love This Job If:
You enjoy solving operational problems through technology. You like spending time with end users instead of sitting behind a desk all day. You naturally ask "Why do we do it this way?" You enjoy improving processes more than maintaining the status quo. You can earn the trust of field teams and executives alike.
This Role Probably Isn't The Right Fit If You:
Prefer infrastructure or network administration over business systems. Have only supported corporate IT environments. Haven't worked with project-based or field operations. Prefer taking requirements rather than helping drive operational improvements.
Experience With One Or More Of The Following Strongly Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
