Job Description

Our client is seeking a Scientific Business Analyst to support the modernization of Large Molecule (LM) drug discovery workflows.

Duration:
Through December 31, 2026 (Potential Extension) Pay rate: $85-90/hr +Benefits This role will partner closely with scientists and software engineering teams to migrate laboratory workflows from legacy ELN systems into modern, integrated platforms while driving user adoption and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and document business and technical requirements for LM laboratory workflows. Lead workflow migration from legacy ELN systems (Benchling) to modern scientific platforms (Aspen, TaPIR, Penguin). Partner with wet-lab scientists and software engineering teams to translate scientific needs into development requirements. Support change management, user training, and adoption of new laboratory applications. Document laboratory processes, data collection workflows, and bioanalytical assay requirements. Serve as the onsite subject matter expert to facilitate knowledge transfer and workflow optimization.
Required Qualifications:
Strong background in Large Molecule drug discovery , including Molecular Biology, protein production, and bioanalytical assays. Experience with LIMS, ELNs, and laboratory automation systems. Proven ability to gather business requirements and bridge communication between scientific and technical teams. Experience leading workflow or system migrations in a laboratory environment. Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience migrating workflows from Benchling . Familiarity with Aspen, TaPIR, Penguin , or similar scientific workflow platforms. Experience defining UI or functional requirements for scientific software applications. INDBH #LI-MG1
