The incumbent is Group Integror to the Group Manager and applies experience and expert knowledge of ATO programs, along with knowledge of analytical and investigive techniques, to analyze operional challenges, assess planned and potential new solutions, and recommend solutions. Performs a variety of special and/or sensitive assignments, independently or with the Group Manager, involving research, analysis, development of written merials, and coordinion of substantive program issues and activities. Applies knowledge of FAA's policies and objectives to identify, define, and organize work for multiple work activities. Provides advice, counsel, or instruction on work mters. Identifies potential issues and proposes recommendions for preventive action. Assures th activities are efficiently carried out and th program objectives are being effectively accomplished. Assures uniformity and consistency of performance by the Service Center and adherence to nional policies. Presents briefings to representives within FAA and to various nional/internional organizions. Provides operional expertise in representing the FAA meetings and seminars. The incumbent is expected to perform work independently resolving potentially controversial or sensitive issues. Broad policies and objectives provide general guidance for addressing issues but often require the development of new approaches. Often asked to develop new policies, procedures and approaches th take into considerion FAA policies, Government-wide rules and regulions and external concerns.
