This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours. DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to provide advance level administrative and office support; manage projects, information programs and budgets; perform research and analysis within an organizational department or division.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job Six (6) years of related experience Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Creates and submits budget proposals Researches, manages, and administers divisional/departmental programs and projects Assists senior management in daily operations including reporting, drafting communications, scheduling, purchasing and other administrative duties Ensures compliance with regulations, requirements, and standards Assists with the development of administrative and/or public policy Supervises, trains and evaluates the work of subordinates Administer and manage solid waste and recycling grant programs, including identifying funding opportunities, preparing and submitting grant applications, overseeing project budgets, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, tracking program performance and preparing required reports Oversee solid waste programs; roll-off dumpster program and cart asset management Performs related work as assigned
