Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online to support enterprise content management and collaboration initiatives. This role will focus on analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, evaluating file storage and access models, and supporting the design and governance of SharePoint-based solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of business analysis, stakeholder engagement, SharePoint knowledge, and documentation skills. This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, information security teams, and project leadership to ensure solutions align with organizational needs, governance standards, and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities Conduct business and systems analysis to identify current-state processes, workflows, and content management requirements. Analyze file storage structures, user access requirements, security groups, permissions, and content organization models. Review existing project documentation and technical artifacts to understand business and technical environments. Plan, schedule, and facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements sessions, and discovery meetings. Gather, document, validate, and maintain business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Develop and maintain business analysis artifacts, including: Business requirements documents (BRDs) Functional requirements documents (FRDs) Use cases User stories Process flows Gap analyses Application inventories Data flow diagrams Identify and document business processes, dependencies, integrations, and systems interacting with content repositories. Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate and recommend SharePoint Online solutions that meet business and operational requirements. Assist in designing SharePoint information architecture, site structures, content organization models, and governance frameworks. Support the development and review of SharePoint security and permission models in alignment with organizational security standards. Facilitate requirements reviews, design sessions, and stakeholder approval meetings. Maintain project documentation and analysis artifacts within Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms. Utilize Jira to manage requirements, user stories, tasks, defects, and project-related activities. Prepare status reports, executive summaries, presentations, and recommendations for leadership teams. Participate in governance reviews and support continuous improvement of collaboration and content management processes. Ensure all documentation remains current, accurate, and aligned with approved requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered. Minimum 5 years of Business Analysis experience within enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online. Minimum 2 years of SharePoint experience in a large enterprise environment. Experience supporting content migration, collaboration platform transformation, or enterprise file management initiatives. Proven experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements.
