DescriptionThe Relay Trust organization in Middle Mile Transportation Technology (MMPT) is constantly innovating new ways of building distributed systems running the latest in machine learning algorithms to deliver the next generation of fraud prevention solutions for our Customers. Amazon is seeking an exemplary (Senior) Business Analyst with broad technical skills to develop in-depth business understanding, perform deep-dives, develop data visualizations and build automation solutions that drive business decision making and process improvement. The ideal candidate will draw upon advanced analytical, problem solving skills, and passion for delivering business insights and analytics. The complexity of research and skills for a (Senior) Business Analyst is well beyond basic data entry and extraction. It involves design and development of automated data pipelines, sophisticated analytical modeling and intuitive data visualization. This role will directly be responsible for maintaining front end code using Python, SQL and/or other similar coding languages. Proficiency in the aforementioned languages is not required, but an ability to be a quick learner and gain proficiency is required for a successfully candidate. This role will have high level visibility due to the nature of the toolsets being maintained, built, and the network impact of analysis conducted. This role has great exposure to a broad scope that can really help shape the future of operational fulfillment and promotes career progression. Key job responsibilities
- Use quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand what drives our business
- Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different data management tools and analytical approaches
- Partner with Product, Program, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable and user-friendly BI solutions influencing product and program strategy
- Identify and measure success of product and program efforts through continuous analysis, goal setting, and monitoring of key metrics to understand trends
- Build and maintain self-serve analytics: role-based dashboards, drill-downs, alerts, and definitions that make performance obvious at a glance
- Identify key performance drivers, quantify their impact on critical metrics, and deliver actionable recommendations
- Mentor junior analysts in analytical techniques and problem-solving methodologiesBasic Qualifications
- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
