Technical Business Analyst#26-07141 Pennington, NJ Hybrid Contract Starts 7/17/2026 Ends 7/17/2026 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role serves as the critical link between business stakeholders and a Java-based engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating high-level business objectives into detailed technical specifications, ensuring that the software architecture aligns with product requirements. A solid grasp of Java development environments is expected to facilitate meaningful participation in architectural discussions and to refine user stories for developers.

Responsibilities:

Work with Product Owners and stakeholders to elicit business needs and dpose them into actionable user stories, epics, and detailed functional/technical specifications Act as the primary bridge between business teams and the Java development squad, helping developers understand business intent and stakeholders understand technical trade-offs Own the refinement process for technical backlogs, ensuring user stories include clear acceptance criteria, edge-case handling, and technical constraints relevant to Java-based microservices Maintain high-quality documentation, including system workflow diagrams, API documentation, data mapping, and architectural decision records Participate in S planning, daily stand-ups, and release planning Collaborate with QA to ensure that testing strategies cover both functional and technical requirements

Requirements:

Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) in Java-centric environments Familiarity with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot), RESTful APIs, and CI/CD pipelines 5 years of experience in business analysis within an IT/Software development context Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis to support requirement gathering and verification Excellent ability to distillplex technical hurdles into clear, non-technical language for stakeholders and management Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies, including toolsets like Jira and Confluence Pay range: $50.39 - $58.39 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
