Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Data Management Business Analyst for an onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in Brooklyn, OH. This is a 10+ month contract opportunity.
This role serves as a critical liaison between Business Stakeholders, Data Engineers, Data Modelers, Data Architects, Product Owners, Governance teams, and delivery partners. The successful candidate will transform business needs into actionable data requirements, perform analysis acrossplex enterprise data environments, document current and future-state data flows, and support the successful delivery of enterprise data initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, business challenges, regulatory requirements, and information needs
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate enterprise data requirements, including data sourcing needs, business rules, Critical Data Elements (CDEs), and data quality expectations
Translate business needs into actionable data specifications, source-to-target mappings, and transformation logic
Perform analysis across multiple source systems, data platforms, and applications
Conduct data profiling, impact analysis, root-cause analysis, and validation activities
Analyze and document end-to-end Data Supply Chain processes, integrations, and data movement patterns
Create and maintain detailed source-to-target mapping documentation
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Modelers, and Data Architects on solution design and implementation
Support enterprise Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality initiatives
Operate independently with minimal supervision across multiple concurrent initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Data Management, Finance, or a related discipline
8 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Data Management, Data Integration, Data Governance, or Data Warehousing
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-scale data, analytics, or modernization initiatives
Experience creating source-to-target mappings, transformation specifications, and data flow documentation
Experience performing data lineage analysis, impact assessments, data profiling, and data validation activities
Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
Advanced SQL and data analysis capabilities
Strong understanding of relational databases, enterprise data architecture, and data warehousing concepts
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Strong analytical,munication, facilitation, and documentation skills
Desired skills:
10+ years of relevant experience
Financial Services or Banking industry experience
Working knowledge of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Data Lineage, and Metadata Management
Experience utilizing Alation Data Catalog
Experience reviewing and documenting Ab Initio data flows
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery
Agile delivery experience
Pay range: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
