Role:
The Business Analyst in the manufacturing sector plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. This position is responsible for thoroughly analyzing current business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing data-driven improvements to enhance operational performance. The role involves gathering and documenting detailed business requirements, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring that solutions align with strategic objectives. The Business Analyst will also lead user acceptance testing to validate that implemented changes meet business expectations. Ultimately, this role drives continuous improvement initiatives that support the company's growth and competitive advantage in the manufacturing industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience in business analysis within the manufacturing industry or a similar environment. Strong proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements. Experience with gap analysis and business process modeling. Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and data management techniques including data mapping and cleansing. Ability to design and conduct user acceptance testing. Proficiency in using macros or similar automation tools to enhance data processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced data analytics tools and software. Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems and supply chain processes. Strong project management skills or certification (e.g., PMP). Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements. Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired outcomes. Develop detailed process maps and workflows using tools such as Microsoft Visio to visualize business operations. Perform data mapping and data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Design and execute user acceptance tests (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business needs and requirements. Utilize macros and other automation tools to streamline data analysis and reporting tasks. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels. Support project management teams by providing analytical insights and progress updates.

The required skills are applied daily to analyze and improve business processes by gathering detailed requirements and performing gap analyses that identify areas for enhancement. Proficiency in Microsoft Visio enables the creation of clear and comprehensive process diagrams that facilitate stakeholder understanding and alignment. The ability to develop and run macros automates repetitive data tasks, increasing efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
