Job Description
Business AnalystAbout the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams. In this role, you will analyze business needs, translate them into effective technology solutions, and support the successful delivery of projects, system enhancements, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with business process mapping and requirements gathering, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Key ResponsibilitiesIT Strategy & Planning Analyze business challenges and provide system solution recommendations. Develop functional specifications and support project execution activities. Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving application-related issues. Support business case development for new software implementations and system enhancements. User Experience Analysis Document current-state and future-state processes and solutions. Create and maintain project documentation, meeting notes, decision logs, and risk registers. Develop business requirements and design specifications. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, user story creation, and acceptance criteria development. Provide testing and reporting support throughout project lifecycles. Requirements Elicitation & Management Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders. Analyze and document functional, reporting, security, and technical requirements. Collaborate closely with developers and QA teams during design, development, and testing phases. Ensure solutions align with business objectives and operational needs. Quality Assurance & Project Support Coordinate and manage project-related activities to ensure timely completion. Support or lead small project teams and initiatives. Participate in unit testing and user acceptance testing activities. Partner with project managers, technical teams, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery. Serve as the primary liaison between business and IT stakeholders. Project Analysis & Continuous Improvement Conduct research and analysis on project-related issues and solutions. Identify risks, constraints, dependencies, and key decisions. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders effectively. Adapt quickly to changing priorities, timelines, and business requirements. Support process improvement and technology adoption initiatives. Tracking & Reporting Maintain issue logs, risk registers, decision logs, and status reports. Provide regular project updates and reporting support to stakeholders and project leadership. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of Business Analyst experience. 3+ years of experience working with systems, SDLC methodologies, requirements gathering, and business process mapping. Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Epic, Feature, and User Story creation. Experience working on projects from initiation through closure. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and process-mapping skills. Experience with process mapping tools such as Visio or Lucidchart. Excellent collaboration, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications PMI-PBA, CBAP, or CAPM certification (active and in good standing). Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Analysis Certification (AAC). Experience in the Building or Construction industry. Experience working in Agile project environments.
