COMMERCIAL
Compliance
  • Work with site logistics leadership, supplier leadership, supplier shippers, buyers, carriers and TMS partner to ensure TMS
  • Shipping process improvement, standardization and compliance. Drive Service
  • Work with the Transportation Managers, Suppliers and TMS Control Tower to provide feedback to preferred partners on performance. Documentation
  • Complete and maintain TMS implementation documentation as required for Standard Work, Process Alignment, and Training. Evolve
  • Recommends improvement and additions in the organization's use of the TMS engineered optimizations and Documentation
  • Complete and maintain TMS integration and data documentation as required for Standard Work, Process Alignment, and Training.
MANAGEMENT/COMMUNICATIONS
Present
  • Works closely with key stakeholders to define and communicate project scope and ensure timely delivery of all project components. Presents status of project regularly to TMS Group Lead, cross functional Program Management Office (PMO), SBU, site logistics leaders and Supply Chain SLT. Support
  • Responsible for working with the TMS partner and SBU/Site logistics leaders to train internal operations personnel, external suppliers, and mentoring other team members on the TMS platform. Provide support post-launch. Process
  • Work with SBU and site logistics leadership, Global Trade, supplier leadership, supplier shippers, buyers, carriers TMS partner and other internal and external stakeholders to develop TMS including supplier communications, standard work, work flow and process documentation to enable maximum savings, enable Collins-wide process standardization, and ensure compliance with global trade and ITAR requirements.
Interface
  • Work with cross functional stakeholders including Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, to design, develop, test, and deploy the TMS solution. Standard Work
  • Manages the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and on-going maintenance of all systematic specialty logistics workflows, including the interaction with upstream and downstream integrations. Includes TMS system updates. Communicates
  • Communicate critical TMS changes and disruptions timely to leadership, internal customs, and external suppliers/customers. Team Work
  • Works with TMS outbound counterpart in region to support the overall TMS project, learning from each other and making improvements on both flows based on lessons learned. Documentation
  • Complete and maintain TMS integration and data documentation as required for Standard Work, Process Alignment, and Training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four (4) year college or university and 5 years related experience; or an Advance degree in appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
TRAVEL UP TO 25
% Extensive international travel required. While most work is in normal daytime hours, PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
Background in domestic and international freight in North America Experience implementing logistics process improvement projects in a complex environment and multiple modes (parcel, heavyweight air, truckload, less-than-truckload and dedicated carriage). Experience in Transportation Management System (TMS) large-scale implementation (industrial /aerospace preferred). Experience with ERP (SAP preferred). Experience with a variety of shipping / transportation software systems is a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certification with Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) are not required yet valued. Citizenship
