KYC Compliance Specialist (Merchant Services) We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.

Contract with potential for extension and/or conversion based on business needs and performance About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented KYC Compliance Specialist to support Merchant Services account onboarding through the execution of Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews and quality control processes. This role focuses on performing Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews to ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies before new accounts are onboarded. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in account opening processes, compliance reviews, and quality assurance, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and meeting service-level agreements (SLAs). Responsibilities Perform KYC reviews and quality control checks for new Merchant Services account onboarding. Complete CIP and CDD reviews in accordance with AML, BSA, and regulatory requirements. Review onboarding and contract documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Identify deficiencies and return incomplete or inaccurate submissions for correction prior to account setup. Resolve complex operational issues and escalate concerns when appropriate. Support business operations by executing customer and operational support initiatives. Provide recommendations to improve processes, quality controls, and operational efficiency. Serve as a resource for colleagues by interpreting policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and management to resolve issues and meet business objectives. Maintain productivity and quality standards while handling a high volume of work. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of experience in KYC, AML, BSA, CIP, and CDD compliance processes. 2+ years of administrative, business support, operations, or related experience, or equivalent combination of work experience, education, military service, training, or consulting experience. Experience performing quality monitoring, quality assurance, or compliance reviews. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and adhere to SLAs. Proficiency in reviewing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance requirements. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of banking or financial services experience. Experience with Merchant Services account onboarding or account opening processes. Underwriting experience. Experience working within KYC onboarding or compliance systems and platforms. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to financial institutions and customer onboarding. Note:
Candidates with stronger experience in account opening and onboarding processes are preferred over candidates whose experience is primarily focused on transaction monitoring.
