Business Process Consultant II Role Details:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Process Analyst responsible for translating business requirements into executable designs. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise, including configuration and developer support when needed, to drive innovation and maintain platform integrity. A core aspect of this role is the ability to effectively prioritize, coordinate, and manage incoming requests across multiple stakeholders and initiatives.
Business Process Consultant II Responsibilities:
Intake, triage, and prioritize ServiceNow enhancement and change requests based on business impact, urgency, and strategic alignment. Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams. Track and manage dependencies, ensuring timely progression of requests through the delivery lifecycle. Implementation and platform delivery Develop test plans, test cases, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) Coordinate deployment activities and ensure smooth implementation of new features or process changes. Support configuration and enhancement of ServiceNow modules, including workflows, forms, catalog items, and integrations. Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure scalable and efficient solution designs. Ensure solutions align with ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities and minimize customizations where possible. Develop process maps (current vs. future state) for data ingestion into ServiceNow and recommend improvements aligned with best practice. Stakeholder engagement Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams. Communicate process changes and system enhancements effectively. Provide regular updates on request status, risks, and timelines to stakeholders. Governance and best practices Maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, configurations, process flows, and knowledge bases. Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and change management standards. Ensure delivered solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards. Build dashboards and reports within ServiceNow to monitor service performance.
Mandatory Requirements:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related roles. Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITOM, SAM Pro, etc.)
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of ITSM practices Strong understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, workflows, and data structures. Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change, request management). Experience with requirements gathering and process mapping. Basic knowledge of APIs, integrations, and automation concepts. Strong communication skills.
