Business Analyst will report to the Sr. Product Manager in the Product Management department. This role is responsible for owning complex domain and rule clarity across multiple workflows or products by identifying business needs, analyzing data, and developing data-driven solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with other product, operations, legal, compliance, and technology teams to evaluate current processes, uncover areas for improvement, and design scalable, operationally sound solutions that optimize business performance and reduce risk. Key duties include elevating the quality and consistency of requirements, documentation, and operational readiness while mentoring team members and driving adoption of best practices. This role provides expertise across the full product lifecycle including discovery, design, validation, testing, and implementation, with a strong focus on rule coherence, operational impact, and compliance alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own domain and rule clarity across products and workflows Define, document, and validate complex business rules across interconnected workflows Raise the quality bar for requirements, documentation, and operational readiness Mentor other team members on rule design, edge cases, and testability Anticipate impacts of rule changes, customer insights, and regulatory considerations Design scenario-based validation plans defining conditions for success Evaluate solution options for rule completeness and exception coverage Identify hidden operational costs and risks to inform prioritization decisions Establish and enforce requirements standards Unblock teams by clarifying rules and driving timely decision-making Ensure test and operational readiness activities are clearly defined and executed Lead root cause analysis for rule-driven defects Lead discussions to align stakeholders on conflicting interpretations Document tradeoffs, decisions, and rationale for auditability and future reference Facilitate working sessions across teams for shared services and journeys Maintain centralized repositories for domain knowledge and documentation Develop reusable playbooks for complex processes Define and standardizes operational metrics Define and maintain BA templates, checklists, and standardized artifacts Ensure consistency in tagging, linking, and documentation across tools (ADO, wiki, etc.) Support rollout and adoption of enterprise frameworks Act as product manager delegate when needed, providing continuity in decision-making, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement in the absence of the product manager Engage directly with external clients, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and clarity in communication to gather requirements, manage expectations, provide software demos and ensure successful outcomes Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to ensure stakeholders and operational teams are equipped to adopt new processes and product capabilities Foster a culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous learning Advocate for operational excellence and trust-building across teams Other duties as assigned Typical schedule for this position is 8 a.m. CT to 5 p.m. CT.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
7+ years of experience in business analysis, product operations, or related roles (fintech or highly regulated industry preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field required Agile and Product Management certifications are a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex rule sets and operational processes Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders Proactive, engaged contributor who actively participates in discussions, drives clarity in the moment, and takes ownership to move work forward—operating with a high degree of independence and initiative Advanced capability in authoring high-quality user stories and scenario-based acceptance criteria that ensure clarity, completeness, and testability across complex workflows Ability to cut through ambiguity by structuring unclear problem spaces into defined rules, scenarios, and measurable outcomes—enabling teams to move forward with clarity and confidence. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing and delivering high-quality outcomes within established timelines Deep understanding of product development lifecycle and Agile methodologies Expertise in requirements definition, scenario design, and operational readiness planning Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive decision clarity Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) Proficiency with process modeling and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Miro) Highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality, consistency, and scalability

Travel up to (10%) Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds

The compensation for this position will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive and bonus opportunities.
