As a Senior Associate - Healthcare Business Analyst, you will make an impact by supporting healthcare transformation initiatives through requirements gathering, business process analysis, documentation, and user story development. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Consulting team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, system integration teams, configuration teams, quality assurance teams, implementation partners, and clients. In this role, you will:- Support discovery and requirements gathering sessions to identify business, integration, configuration, and testing needs.
- Analyze business processes and document functional and non-functional requirements for healthcare technology initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery teams.
- Collaborate with business, development, testing, and implementation teams to validate requirements and support solution delivery.
- Maintain requirements documentation, traceability, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.

What you need to have to be considered:- 5+ years of business analysis experience within healthcare payer, healthcare technology, consulting, or related industries.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and system requirements.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including user story creation and acceptance criteria development.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, development, testing, configuration, and implementation functions.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills. These will help you stand out:
- Healthcare payer experience in claims, membership, provider, benefits, care management, or related business domains.
- Experience supporting healthcare platform implementations, modernization efforts, or system integration projects.
- Familiarity with requirements management and Agile delivery tools.
- Ability to analyze business problems and recommend practical solutions.
- Consulting experience and the ability to work effectively in client-facing environments.
Total Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $64,350 - $101,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.Benefits:
