Job Description
Description We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee and support clients with software and data-related questions in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will investigate issues, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and help deliver effective solutions that align with client needs. This position is well suited for someone early in their career who enjoys problem-solving, clear communication, and working across both technical and business functions. It also offers opportunities to expand your experience through project involvement and broader client engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for client-reported application and data concerns, ensuring timely and thorough support.
- Review incoming incidents, determine business impact, assign priority levels, and drive issues toward resolution with sound judgment.
- Perform detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis by examining system behavior, data outputs, and application logs.
- Partner with development teams, analysts, and external stakeholders when escalation is needed, and monitor progress until closure.
- Stay informed on product updates, new functionality, and enhancements to maintain effective application support.
- Contribute to gathering business needs and support the execution of approved change requests.
- Help prepare business documentation such as functional specifications, requirements summaries, and impact assessments.
- Support project implementation activities by providing application knowledge and insight into operational processes.
- Maintain accurate support records and documentation to promote consistency, knowledge sharing, and service quality. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, technology, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, application support, or a similar role.
- Ability to analyze application log files and use findings to support troubleshooting efforts.
- Familiarity with diagnosing software or data issues in a structured and detail-oriented manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving ability, including comfort working with data and quantitative information.
- Experience with SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools such as Power BI is preferred.
- Exposure to customer-facing work, change management practices, or utility and billing environments is an advantage.
