Job Title Petro Analyst (Business Analyst II) Compensation $61.60 - $70.84/hr (1099 rate) Location Midland, TX 79701 Schedule 5/2 | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Target Start Date ASAP Scope / Overview The Petro Analyst (Business Analyst II) supports Well Management Engineers, operations teams, and leadership through data governance, reporting, analytics, and business process improvement. This role serves as a key resource for maintaining data integrity, developing dashboards and reporting solutions, optimizing workflows, and supporting operational decision-making across well servicing and production activities. Key Responsibilities Support data governance initiatives to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across operational systems. Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and interactive applications for engineering, operations, and leadership teams. Build and optimize reporting solutions utilizing tools such as Power BI and Databricks. Develop automated workflows and web-based tools that improve self-service reporting capabilities. Create and maintain data validation, QA/QC, and integrity management processes. Generate exception reports to identify and correct data issues. Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues across enterprise systems. Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and defect resolution. Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, and vendors to improve processes and reporting capabilities. Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and executive leadership. Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing support for reporting tools and systems. Oil & gas industry experience preferred. Experience with data governance, reporting, and analytics across multiple operational areas or business units. Strong dashboard development and large dataset management experience. Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience supporting data systems and reporting tools.
