Your Job:
As the Retail Business Analyst at Brooks, you will play a critical role in driving performance across Brooks' branded retail fleet by delivering data-driven insights that inform decision-making across store operations, merchandising, and customer experience. You will support Retail Operations, Store Leadership, and crossfunctional partners by analyzing business performance across multiple locations, identifying opportunities, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that improve sales, inventory productivity, and operational effectiveness. You have a combined passion for retail, analytics, and the Brooks brand, with a strong ability to influence through data storytelling and business partnership. \nYour Responsibilities:
Business Performance & Reporting Analyze store and fleet-level performance across key KPIs including sales, conversion, traffic, average transaction value (ATV), and units per transaction (UPT). Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports that provide visibility into daily, weekly, and seasonal performance. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across stores, regions, and product categories. Partner with Retail leadership to deliver clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making. Merchandising & Inventory Insights Evaluate product performance across footwear, apparel, and accessories to inform assortment and allocation decisions. Analyze size curves, sell-through, and inventory levels to recommend replenishment and depth strategies. Support inventory optimization efforts to minimize markdown risk and maximize in-stock availability. Partner with Merchandising and Planning teams on seasonal strategies and performance reviews. Store Operations & Productivity Provide analytics that support labor optimization, store productivity, and operational efficiency. Analyze store processes and customer flow to identify opportunities to enhance the in-store experience. Support new store openings with forecasting, benchmarking, and performance tracking. Identify and scale best practices across the retail fleet. Customer & Omnichannel Insights Analyze customer behavior and purchase patterns across in-store and digital touchpoints. Support initiatives that connect retail and eCommerce experiences (e.g., omnichannel capabilities). Partner with Marketing and CRM teams to evaluate campaign performance and customer engagement in retail. Identify opportunities to improve customer retention and lifetime value. Strategic Projects & Cross-Functional Partnership Support strategic initiatives including retail expansion, store format evolution, and performance segmentation. Conduct ad hoc analysis for leadership to support business priorities and decision-making. Partner cross-functionally with Retail, Finance, Marketing, Planning, and Product teams to ensure alignment. Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; equivalent combination of education and years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree(s) 5+ years of experience in retail analytics, business analysis, or a related field, preferably at a specialty retail, athletic/footwear, or branded retail environment Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, or similar); experience with SQL or data query tools a plus Experience working with POS systems, traffic data, and inventory management platforms Familiarity with omnichannel retail models Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products, or other departments' operations and/or morale; "connecting the dots" Demonstration of innovation and initiative- always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary Passionate participation in Brooks' sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
Compensation:
The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $91,931- $137,896 per year.
