The Per Diem Tissue Procurement Technician will report directly to the LOH Tissue Manager for all administrative support. Under direct supervision of the Procurement Team Leader, the Per Diem Tissue Procurement Technician is responsible for assistance in the procurement, packaging, and transportation of bone, soft tissue, and heart for valve for distribution to the designated tissue processor. Responsibilities include on-call status.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
High school diploma; One (1) year medical, surgical, EMT or nursing experience required. Educational experience in nursing and/or medical school program may be considered.
Preferred:
Familiarity with anatomy, aseptic technique, principles of sterile fields, and surgical instruments. Experience in the field of orthopaedics.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION
Required:
Valid driver's license and ability to be insured for company vehicles. May be required to drive personal vehicle. Liability coverage of $100,000.00 per person and $300,000.00 per accident for personal vehicle is required.
