Company Introduction:
The Equipment & Fixtures Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement of all store equipment, fixtures, and operational assets for new store development, remodels, and capital projects. This role owns procurement for all non-structural store components, essentially all items that furnish, equip, or enable store operations across departments, including prepared foods, bakery, produce, meat, seafood, dairy, frozen, grocery, and front-end. The Equipment & Fixtures Procurement Specialist operates with a high degree of independence and professional judgment to develop procurement standards, establish strategic supplier partnerships, and ensure the timely, cost-effective acquisition, delivery, and installation readiness of all equipment and fixtures. This position requires frequent travel and on-site support to ensure successful execution
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are representative of the work performed. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support business operations. End-to-End Procurement Ownership Lead procurement of all store equipment and fixtures, including refrigeration systems, display cases, seafood tanks, stainless steel tables & sinks, commercial kitchen equipment, bakery equipment, shelving, display cases, storage systems, and front-end fixtures. Own sourcing, bidding, vendor selection, contract negotiation, purchasing, and delivery coordination. Exercise independent judgment in selecting products and suppliers aligned with operational, financial, and project requirements. Standards & Specification Management Develop, implement, and maintain standardized equipment and fixture specifications across all store departments. Drive consistency, scalability, and cost efficiency through standardization. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and company requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Store Development, Design, Construction, Kitchen, Bakery, and Operations teams to define equipment and fixture needs. Translate operational requirements into procurement specifications and sourcing strategies. Provide subject matter expertise on equipment functionality, layout integration, and lifecycle considerations. Vendor & Supplier Management Identify, evaluate, and manage domestic and international suppliers. Negotiate pricing, lead times, warranties, and service agreements. Establish and maintain an approved vendor list based on performance, cost, quality, and reliability. Monitor vendor performance and resolve quality or delivery issues. Project Coordination, Travel & Site Support Travel frequently to project sites (new stores, remodels, vendor facilities) across the U.S., Canada, and internationally. Provide on-site support during key project phases, including delivery, installation, and store opening. Coordinate with construction teams and vendors to ensure proper delivery, placement, and installation readiness of equipment and fixtures. Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues related to equipment, specifications, or vendor performance. Conduct site assessments and post-installation reviews to ensure adherence to standards and specifications. Cost Management & Analysis Manage procurement budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and operational effectiveness. Evaluate total cost of ownership, including maintenance, durability, and energy efficiency. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in procurement of commercial equipment and fixtures for supermarkets, grocery chains, food production facilities, or large-scale full kitchen chain restaurants/bakeries. Demonstrated experience supporting retail store openings, remodels, or construction projects with on-site involvement. Strong expertise in sourcing commercial equipment and fixtures, including refrigeration, fish tank system, food production equipment, bakery systems, shelving, and display fixtures. Working knowledge of construction and installation processes related to store equipment. Proven ability to independently negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are a plus. Must be able and willing to travel frequently, including domestic and international travel. Ability to support extended on-site presence during critical project phases (e.g., store setup and openings).

Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and inspect equipment installations. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally. Ability to work in a combination of office and construction site environments, including exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and other conditions typical of construction sites and retail store locations. Ability to climb stairs and access different areas of construction or retail project sites as needed.
Pay:
$72,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
