MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical Center Position Overview:

Analyzes inventory and supply needs. Duties include inventory, purchasing, receiving and storing all food and supplies to ensure quality, minimal waste & cost control. Other responsibilities include stockroom maintenance, delivery inspections and ensuring Federal, State and local compliance.

EDUCATION

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE

1 year of recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Previous experience with food cost controls and inventory controls. Thorough knowledge of food specs on all items ordered. Familiarity of food production and plating specifications to aid in identification of potential waste. Knowledge of and proper use of telephone etiquette, 10-key adding machine, knowledge of spreadsheets, pallet jack, kitchen equipment specs and scales. Literacy in English and mathematics in order to complete requisitions, read invoices of incoming goods, price goods and to record accurate quantities.
