Job Description
Rogue Vehicle Company is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to help coordinate materials and inventory for our production teams. This position serves as a bridge between Purchasing, Inventory, and Production, helping ensure the materials needed for upcoming builds are identified, ordered, tracked, and available when needed. The role will also help manage consumable inventory, maintain accurate inventory information, and communicate material needs and shortages to Purchasing. Track materials ordered for specific vans or projects. Help coordinate and stage special-order materials for upcoming builds. Maintain visibility of what has arrived, what is outstanding, and what is still needed for upcoming builds. Assist with pre-production material readiness checks. Consumable Inventory Monitor commonly used shop and production consumables. Establish and maintain minimum/maximum quantities and reorder points. Perform regular checks of consumable inventory. Generate replenishment requests before items run out. Identify changes in consumption and adjust stocking levels as needed. Purchasing Support Create purchase orders as directed. Place routine and repeat orders with approved vendors. Follow up on open POs, backorders, tracking, and expected delivery dates. Verify that ordered products and quantities match production requirements. Maintain accurate purchasing and product information. Assist with returns, credits, replacements, and warranty-related documentation. Inventory Control Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies. Track products allocated to specific builds. Identify low-stock, excess, obsolete, or incorrectly stocked inventory. Help maintain accurate part numbers, descriptions, labels, and inventory records. Work with Inventory and Production to ensure unused materials are returned and accounted for. The position would assist with receiving and putting away materials when necessary, but that would not be the primary focus of the role. Production Documentation Maintain serial-number records for designated equipment installed in each van. Ensure serial numbers are associated with the correct build. Collect required serial-label photos and product information. Help maintain accurate records for warranty and future service needs. Qualifications The ideal candidate should be: Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working with spreadsheets and inventory systems Good at tracking multiple open items Strong with follow-up and communication Comfortable working with part numbers and product information Able to recognize shortages and potential problems Comfortable communicating with technicians, leads, purchasing, and vendors Able to work independently once processes are established Interested in learning purchasing, inventory management, and production planning Experience in manufacturing, automotive, RV, inventory, purchasing, warehouse operations, or production planning is helpful but not required.
