Position Summary:

As a Junior Buyer, you will be a part of a knowledgeable team who is supportive of each other and other departments- and has fun getting stuff done! This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager .

Qualifications & Requirements:

1-3 years purchasing experience or related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate degree or bachelor's degree or equivalent encouraged, not required Ability to efficiently and creatively collect, research and analyze data to make decisions and solve problems Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Responds well to questions, with clear precise answers. Participates regularly in meetings, communicating in a positive manner with all levels of personnel (written and oral) Ability to work and communicate with remote locations and personnel Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems (Syspro, SAP, Oracle) and inventory management software required. Understanding of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations). Operational Excellence:

Supplier on time Supplier quality Communication of supply issues to planning/production Maintain purchase order dates, quantities, etc. Place spot buys Maintain leadtime in system Make versus Buy decisions MRB activity: rejections, RTV's, reworks, Supplier notification Invoice issues related to spot buys and contract pricing Quoting Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of management
