Full-Time Position Summary G&C Equipment Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful person with a primary focus on sourcing construction materials, equipment, and supplies while identifying and pursuing new project opportunities. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of construction procurement practices, strong client relationship skills, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities from project pursuit through onboarding. This individual will be a liaison between clients, suppliers, vendors and company management. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Supply Chain Engage in procurement activities for construction materials, equipment, rental equipment, and project-related supplies. Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations, negotiate pricing, and coordinate purchasing activities. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, distributors, and suppliers. Coordinate material deliveries, logistics, and inventory requirements to support project schedules for customer projects. Business Opportunity Research and identify new project opportunities through public and private procurement sources. Monitor bid boards, agency procurement portals, industry publications, and networking channels. Develop and maintain relationships with owners, developers, contractors, vendors, and public agencies. Qualify opportunities and assess project fit with company capabilities and strategic objectives. Support strategic growth initiatives and market expansion efforts. Proposal & Project Pursuit Support Prepare and coordinate RFQs, RFPs, and bid responses. Gather and organize technical, operational, and pricing information for submissions. Maintain proposal calendars, compliance schedules, and pursue tracking systems. Project & Client Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during project onboarding and procurement activities. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project requirements, schedules, and expectations. Support clients by coordinating procurement, logistics, and stakeholder communications. Maintain organized project documentation and procurement records in company project folders and its proprietary customer retention management software. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in construction procurement, project management, business development, or related roles. Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing construction materials, equipment, and supplies. Experience preparing and coordinating RFQ, RFP, and bid responses. Strong understanding of construction operations, estimating, and project delivery methods. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. QuickBooks knowledge a plus. Ability to analyze data, pricing, and project opportunities effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with public agencies, municipalities, airports, transit agencies, or large general contractors. Familiarity with procurement portals and bidding platforms. Experience in construction, equipment, logistics, or infrastructure-related industries. Knowledge of CRM, project management, and proposal management software.
