HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The Procurement Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Ferrotec's Contract Manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely execution and delivery of purchased materials required for production. This position is heavily focused on purchase order expediting, supplier communication, and delivery tracking, ensuring materials are received on time to meet customer and production commitments. This role works cross-functionally with Buyers, Planners, Production, and Suppliers to proactively manage order status, mitigate delays, and maintain continuity of supply in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Expedite purchase orders (POs) to ensure on-time delivery aligned with production schedules and customer commitments. Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier follow-ups, confirmations, and shipment status updates Monitor and manage open order reports, identifying risks, delays, and shortages; drive resolution with suppliers Proactively communicate material availability, delivery risks, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders (planning, production, engineering) Maintain accurate PO data in ERP/MRP systems, including delivery dates, confirmations, and status updates Partner with Buyers and Planners to support priority orders, schedule changes, and demand fluctuations Collaborate with suppliers to improve on-time delivery (OTD), responsiveness, and communication Assist with resolution of receiving discrepancies, quality issues, and invoice mismatches Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain processes Generate and maintain reports on past-due orders, supplier performance, and expediting activities Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 2-4
years of experience in procurement, purchasing , expediting, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing environment Strong experience with PO tracking, supplier follow-up, and expediting activities Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external suppliers Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools Preferred Qualifications Experience in contract manufacturing or high-mix, low-volume production environments Understanding of materials planning, supply chain flows, and production scheduling Exposure to semiconductor, advanced materials, or precision manufacturing industries Experience tracking and reporting supplier delivery performance metrics
