Purchasing Associate You are a results-driven purchasing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership from sourcing through delivery. You are proactive, highly organized, and confident managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and solving supply chain challenges. You enjoy working collaboratively while driving efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings across purchasing and inventory operations .

This Position Pays:

$25•33/hour

DOE What You Will Be Doing:

Manage the full purchasing cycle including sourcing, quoting, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and issue resolution Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while negotiating pricing, lead times, and service levels Monitor inventory levels and proactively prevent shortages, delays, or excess inventory Track and expedite open orders to ensure timely deliveries and uninterrupted operations Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, SKU, and UPC data in Fishbowl, Shopify, and GS1 systems Analyze purchasing and supplier data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve COGS Partner with Accounting to ensure invoice accuracy, PO matching, and timely payments Support new vendor onboarding and help mitigate supply chain risks Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and quality standards

What You Bring:

2-4 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a fast-paced environment Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines Experience with inventory management and purchasing best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and ERP systems preferred Knowledge of Bills of Materials and Work Orders preferred Experience with domestic and international purchasing, logistics, freight, and supply chain coordination preferred High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work onsite in a warehouse environment For over 50 years, Nelson Connects has empowered employers and job seekers to achieve their unique versions of success.
