JOB SUMMARY

Generates purchase orders and tracks deliveries to ensure on-time receipts to support manufacturing activities. Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality and delivery. Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Initiate, prepare, process, and verify purchase orders following established guidelines to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates. Input transactions and administer a purchasing and contracts system or database. Interact with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. Track procurement status and expedite delayed orders. Resolve issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Coordinate with internal teams and departments to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Collaborate with other departments, such as Supplier Quality, Planning, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Production to identify and qualify new suppliers. Coordinate with Supplier Quality and Quality Assurance to ensure that all suppliers are in good standing on the approved supplier list.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Education:

A four-year college degree (Bachelors degree) in Supply Chain or a related field desired but not required.

Experience:

Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates
