In person Job Summary A manufacturing company in Temecula is seeking an experienced Quoting Specialist to join its team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and timely customer quotes by reviewing engineering drawings, BOMs, component pricing, labor requirements, supplier information, and manufacturing specifications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with numbers and technical information, and confident using Microsoft Excel. Previous experience in manufacturing quoting, estimating, purchasing, cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, CNC manufacturing, or a related technical environment is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Review customer and sales requests for quotes Read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, specifications, and BOMs Determine whether quotes are for new products, rebuilds, or revisions Identify changes in customer or manufacturing requirements Research component availability, pricing, and lead times Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing Verify manufacturer part numbers, quantities, specifications, and tolerances Estimate assembly or production time in coordination with manufacturing and scheduling Compile completed quote information for the sales team Maintain accurate quote files and supporting documentation Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, production, sales, and vendors as needed Assist with sourcing materials, pricing comparisons, and purchasing-related activities Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in manufacturing quoting, estimating, purchasing, procurement, or a related field strongly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using Microsoft Word Able to research parts, pricing, availability, and supplier information Comfortable working with fractions, percentages, ratios, measurements, and basic technical calculations Able to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Able to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Comfortable communicating with suppliers, engineering, production, and sales teams Reliable and consistent attendance Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following areas is especially helpful: Manufacturing quoting or estimating Purchasing or procurement CNC or precision manufacturing Cable assembly or electronics manufacturing Aerospace or defense manufacturing ERP or MRP systems Supplier pricing and vendor management Technical drawings and BOM review Excel Skills Test An Excel skills test will be administered as part of the interview process. Candidates should be comfortable navigating Excel and working with data, pricing, calculations, and spreadsheets.
Pay:
$23.50 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
