Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Jr. Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in materials management, supply chain operations, and procurement processes. As a Jr. Buyer, you will support purchasing activities, negotiate with suppliers, and assist in managing inventory levels to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities Assist Sr. Buyer with procurement activities.
  • Responsible for purchasing service parts, accessories, upgrades, and consumables.
  • Process returned, rejected and obsolete inventory paperwork
  • In conjunction with assigned suppliers, develop, implement, and track programs for improving supplier quality, delivery performance, and total cost of ownership to ensure that supplier performance standards are met
  • Evaluate and provide feedback to assigned suppliers on supplier performance standards and their performance against those standards
  • Manage non-inventory requisitions; analyze quantity, specifications, delivery requirements, and appropriate approvals
  • Light reception and organizing office activities Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing envivornment Working knowledge of MRP principles and materials management APICS or related professional certification is preferred Strong organizational skills Demonstrated analytical skills Computer skills and Microsoft Office and Project tools; large ERP experience preferred High degree of independence and initiative Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills Good interpersonal skills - especially customer/supplier relations Ability to follow through on tasks to completion is necessary Exceptional planning and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of varied weather conditions. The noise level will also vary, depending on location. The employee may spend several hours entering information into a computer and sitting for long periods of time. Physical Demands Sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 20lbs; pull/push up to 40 lbs, grasp small device/products and identify very small variations in the product. Sight is required for observing work and production. May spend several hours using a computer to create reports, analyze data and respond to inquiries and issues. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. May be exposed to active machinery and moving equipment. Requires travel between buildings.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
