MondayFriday | 7:007:30 AM start | Position Summary Seeking an experienced Buyer to support purchasing and procurement activities in a fast-paced, small-team environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities Place and manage purchase orders, including same-day processing when orders are received. Expedite orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery. Obtain and return vendor quotes to requesters promptly. Contact vendors and suppliers for pricing, availability, and product information. Maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships. Compile and maintain information and records required to prepare purchase orders. Enter and edit purchase orders and blanket order releases. Research product specifications when items are not clearly identified. Ensure accuracy and integrity of product files. Reconcile accounts payable discrepancies and assist with resolving customer issues. Provide responsive and professional customer service. Respond to emails promptly with clear and concise communication. Support rapid order processing and fulfillment. Assist with occasional tasks outside of purchasing, including Accounts Payable discrepancy resolution. 3 Must-Haves 35 years of Buyer/Purchasing experience Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Outlook; Excel experience is a plus Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously Qualifications Strong purchasing/procurement experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional presentation and demeanor. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy when working with numbers and figures. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Above-average math skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently within a small-team environment. Team player who is flexible and willing to wear multiple hats. Bachelors degree is strongly preferred but not required. Business, Computer Science, Communications, or related fields preferred.
