This role serves as a liaison between the Procurement department and internal and external customers. Correspond with vendors concerning a range of issues including price changes, contract adjustments, terminations, item values, and schedule changes Prepare solicitation requests and develop specifications with customer input and assist in the development and review of solicitations and specifications Participate in negotiating with vendors to obtain goods and/or services at the best value Conduct analysis of the quality and performance of goods, supplies, equipment, and services within assigned area; and assist in performing cost/benefit, life cycle costing, and commodity standardization studies Resolve disputes between vendors and departments that may arise regarding quality of goods and/or services or timeliness of delivery Draft and review reports, correspondence, specifications and proposals Monitor progress and status of assigned acquisitions Consult with department officials to determine goods and service needs and priorities; develop timelines and conduct acquisitions in compliance with procurement policy
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management Minimum two (2) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline. OR (6) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree. OR No experience required in lieu of Masters Degree.
