Job Description This position is responsible for entering spot orders and stainless purchase orders and helping maintain and close purchase orders. The position handles the reconciling/matching of vendor invoices to purchase orders, material receipts and invoice/tag adjustments and may help to expedite orders. The position is also responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the daily production schedule. Accurately and efficiently enters purchase orders based on approved PO requests Maintains records of all purchase orders, including closing them out Reviews vendor status reports and updates the inventory management system Working with vendors to expedite orders, and communicating with sales, quality, and accounts payable to resolve PO issues. Assists in implementing production schedule day-to-day Alerts Production Planning Specialist or management of any issues that may arise Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels to support the sales forecast, at lowest total cost, while meeting or exceeding required inventory turns Assists with physical inventory as needed Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or commensurate experience 1+ year of experience in purchasing or inventory control, preferably within a manufacturing environment Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook and Excel Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally Skilled with multi-tasking and prioritizing
