This candidate will need to work cross-functionality with multiple departments to compile and analyze data, accurately forecast demand, and strategize to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. They would also need to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, and to be an excellent communicator that owns their areas of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Place purchase orders for acquisition Review and implement inventory replenishment processes Obtain market intelligence to optimize ability to purchase parts at best quality and lowest cost Develop cost comparisons Develop reports to analyze cost and inventory Develop offers to purchase material based on internal demand and stock position Develop process and method to capture business expenditures Support audits as needed Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms. Ensure vendor compliance Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries. Examine and test existing contracts. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements. Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs. Inventory management and demand forecasting for assigned product categories. Use historical data, input from the sales and marketing teams, and market treads to constantly improve and update demand forecasting. Communicate with vendors by sending purchase orders, understating capacity constraints, ensuring on time shipments, and planning production volume to maximize container space. Constantly analyze and improve forecasting methods to understand forecasting errors and implement strategies to mitigate those errors Assist with transportation planning to ensure on time shipment deliveries. Requirements Fully Bilingual - both writing and speaking Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Management (Preferred) Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles, preferably within food-related purchasing Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and materials management principles. Familiarity with logistics processes and supply chain management. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and SAP Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong vendor relationships. Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and supplier performance. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities effectively. A degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
