Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Miami, FL . The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, and Category Management, along with expertise in managing global suppliers and driving cost reduction initiatives.

Rate Range:

$30/hour to $34/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and manufactured components across global supplier networks. Manage end-to-end sourcing activities including RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, supplier communications, quotation analysis, and sourcing recommendations. Review engineering drawings, prepare RFQ packages, and perform techno-commercial evaluations of supplier proposals. Conduct supplier capability assessments, qualification reviews, supplier development initiatives, and supplier performance evaluations. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Owners, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing teams to align priorities and support business objectives. Drive cost-reduction initiatives through should-cost analysis, benchmarking, supplier negotiations, value analysis/value engineering (VAVE), and alternate sourcing strategies. Prepare sourcing dashboards, supplier scorecards, executive reports, and governance updates while managing risks, escalations, and sourcing challenges.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in: Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Development Strong experience managing: RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, Supplier Negotiations, Cost Reduction Programs, Supplier Performance Management Strong knowledge of: Mechanical Components, Electrical Components, Electronic Components, Manufacturing Supply Chains Experience conducting should-cost analysis, benchmarking, commercial evaluations, and supplier capability assessments. Experience working with global suppliers across North America, Mexico, China, and Europe.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Jaggaer or similar sourcing and procurement platforms. Knowledge of supplier scorecards, sourcing dashboards, and industrialization tracking. Experience with Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives. Background supporting manufacturing, industrial, or engineering organizations.
