Job Summary:
Responsible for tracking and managing the company's inventory levels, overseeing deliveries, inspecting product, maintaining inventory records and placing orders to ensure optimal product availability. Supervises the activities of employees.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Responsible for taking daily inventory of all food and non-food items and order accordingly to bring par levels up set levels. 2. Performs monthly inventory of All F&B outlets. 3. Responsible of ordering all of food products and supplies needed to run our daily operations. 4. Will request top twenty bids from three major vendors quarterly. 5. Will assist team in checking in items upon delivery to ensure we have all pieces ordered and sign off on invoices prior to delivery drivers exiting the back dock. 6. Will weigh meat items to ensure that we are receiving true poundage - randomly. 7. Infrared and probe combination thermometers are to be used by warehouse staff to inspect incoming foods for proper temperature. Inspect all items to ensure quality of product. Special attention given to perishable items and expiration dates. Refuses delivery when necessary and makes sure the delivery driver prepares a credit memo. 8. Ensures that the delivered items be correctly put away in storage where they belong; such as cooler, freezer, dry storage or chemical room. 9. Will do all product ordering & attend all food shows to ensure, and to seek, the best rebates and costs on all products. 10. Be responsible for tagging all items necessary for proper rotation FIFO "use first" stickers must be used- put date of delivery on items necessary. 11. Keep an ongoing spreadsheet of all costs, to include but not limited to meat, dairy, frozen, produce, beverage, paper products, small wares and etc. 12. Ensures that all food and beverage storage areas meet or exceed appropriate health and safety regulations as they relate to cleanliness and proper storage requirements. 13. Alert Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, F&B Manager or Food & Beverage Director on any irregular or out of ordinary (orders). 14. Help with in-house catering functions with ordering necessary items. 15. Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives to maintain a productive and effective department operation. 16. Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners. 17. Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission. 18. Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers. 19. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect. 20. Report to work on time and as required in casual professional attire, display a elevated level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards. 21. Comply with all departmental safety regulations, using safety equipment as required. Supplemental Job Duties 1. Attends food shows and trade shows. 2. Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will have the authority to; make decisions necessary to meet the above listed job duties, hire, terminate, promote, demote, transfer, provide training opportunities, recommend merit increases, evaluate performance, create and / or delegate staff scheduling and invoke disciplinary action. This position may have other supervisory authority assigned as necessary through management. This position directly supervises the food & beverage warehouse workers. This position has the authority through proper channels, to procure any supplies and or equipment needed for the operation of the department.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Must be able to tolerate working in freezers and coolers as required. Substantial lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds will be required. May be required to lift over the shoulder height but this maneuver requires assistance (another person) when weight is involved. Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time. Requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, balancing, and pushing or pulling equipment. Requires in-town and out-of-town travel. May be on-call during weekends, days off and holidays due to deliveries and different functions. Must be confidential.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences:
Must be at least 21 years of age. Two years of shipping or receiving warehouse experience preferred. Requires appropriate knowledge of computers and software applications. High School Diploma or GED required with college associates degree preferred. Must have Supervisory experience. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance with the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.
Skills/Abilities:
Requires good computer and math skills. Requires excellent organization and time management skills. Must be willing to take computer courses if needed to update her/his skills. Must be flexible with shift and days off. Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements. Must be able to operate a forklift.
