Job Summary:
Buyers are responsible for procurement of goods, quality compliance and inventory management.
Responsibilities:
Manages supply chain risks Builds long-term, collaborative relationships with preferred suppliers Procures customized items Evaluates supplier quotes and services Evaluates supplier performance Identifies qualified vendors for difficult to source items Evaluates cost savings opportunities and present findings Evaluates forecasts to maintain desired inventory levels Prepares, issues, and maintains purchase orders for timely delivery Execute inventory replenishment requests Maintain factory shortage report Assists in the investigation of non-conforming materials and takes corrective action Assists in the reconciliation of receiving/invoicing/billing discrepancies Coordinates the return of non-conforming material Maintains procurement records, including ERP data and notations Other purchasing duties as assigned
