Type:

full-time Christ Panos Foods is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for sourcing, ordering, and managing inventory across multiple product categories to support sales, operations, and customer demand. The ideal candidate has experience in food distribution or related industries, strong vendor management skills, and a data driver approach to purchasing.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Source, negotiate, and purchase food and related products from vendors Maintain optimal inventory levels to support sales while minimizing spoilage, shortages, and excess stock Monitor pricing, market trends, and supplier performance to ensure competitive costs and reliable supply Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and operations teams to forecast demand and align purchasing strategies Create and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies Evaluate new vendors and products as needed Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance Analyze purchasing data and generate reports on inventory turns, costs, and vendor performance Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

3-5 years of buying or purchasing experience, preferably in food distribution or related industries Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain principles Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor relationship skills
