International Buyer /
Planner Role Summary:
The International Buyer / Planner coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved with procuring purchased goods, heavily focuses on internationally purchased goods and services, including intra-company and sub-suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain. Communicate directly with International, sub-suppliers and internal companies to purchase, schedule material procurement. Set up and execute cross-functional meetings with Sales, Operations and Finance (SIOP) to facilitate the planning process. Develop and maintain detailed inventory plans for internationally purchased material. Analyzing current inventories and procedures and developing detailed inventory plans to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company. Develop processes to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and delivery requirements are met Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies. Coordinates Cost Savings Indicatives with all Suppliers on an annual basis Maintain daily communication Fisher Barton Vietnam facility to schedule production and monitor leads times and shipment status. Weekly communication with Vietnam facility which would include off hours based on time difference
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and/or 3 years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Purchasing Proficient working knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor Preferred) Advanced working knowledge of
