Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team and drive our procurement and supply chain initiatives forward. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, negotiating contracts, and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure seamless procurement operations. Your expertise will support our manufacturing processes, inventory control, and logistics functions, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead procurement strategies, optimize costs, and collaborate across departments to meet business objectives. This role will also be a part of a unique growth period partnering with engineering through the procurement process. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP system Global Shop Solutions, ensuring timely sourcing and purchasing of materials and services. Negotiate purchasing contracts with vendors, focusing on pricing, delivery terms, and service levels to maximize value. Oversee vendor management activities, including evaluating supplier performance, conducting supplier sourcing, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Utilize automated procurement systems and inventory management systems to streamline purchasing workflows and maintain accurate inventory levels. Conduct Excel data analysis to monitor procurement metrics, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with supply chain management teams to coordinate logistics, transportation, and inventory control efforts for manufacturing needs. Experience in industrial, technical, B2B sales of engineered products Further establish, manage, and grow our freight/logistics partners Proven experience functioning within an ERP system in a procurement or supply chain environment. Strong knowledge of procurement management principles including sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and inventory control. Demonstrated ability to negotiate prices effectively while maintaining positive vendor relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. Experience with purchasing management systems (technically supported) and automated procurement tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead negotiations confidently and manage multiple stakeholders
