- Clerk to Agent Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Agent
- Buyer to join our procurement team.
SAP, SAP ERP, JD
Edwards, Oracle EBS, AS400, and other supply chain management tools to track inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities based on quality, cost, delivery time, and reliability. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure favorable pricing and terms. Collaborate with production planning and logistics teams to align procurement activities with manufacturing schedules. Monitor inventory levels using inventory management systems to prevent stockouts or excess stock. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations during all purchasing activities. Analyze market trends and supply chain data to forecast future procurement needs. Support e-commerce platforms related to procurement activities when applicable. Requirements Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments. Strong knowledge of ERP systems such asSAP, SAP ERP, JD
Edwards, Oracle EBS, AS400, or similar platforms. Familiarity with materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management principles. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms with suppliers. Experience in sourcing strategies, contract management, and vendor evaluation processes. Ability to analyze pricing data and develop cost-saving initiatives. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with suppliers. Nice-to-have skills include experience with e-commerce platforms related to procurement processes or merchandising systems.
