We are seeking a Product Cost Estimating Specialist to play an important role in determining product costs, preparing accurate quotes, and supporting our sales, production, design, and purchasing teams. We provide customers with creative design, engineering, fulfillment, and logistics solutions. In this fast-paced position, you'll gain hands-on knowledge of our products, manufacturing processes, materials, and costing systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or an individual with an associate degree who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and paying close attention to detail. You'll receive training to: Understand how products are manufactured Develop accurate product cost estimates Interpret product specifications and drawings Learn manufacturing capabilities and processes Evaluate material, labor, vendor, and other product costs Work closely with experienced professionals across the organizationKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up product specifications in the company system using drawings and information from design and production teams Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing capabilities and limitations Analyze the costs associated with each product and ensure costs are accurately reflected in the system Communicate with production supervisors to gather feedback and improve costing accuracy Prepare accurate quotes for the sales department Recommend cost-effective alternatives that may help secure customer orders Maintain and update product pricing as needed Learn and understand products and materials purchased from a variety of vendors Assist with obtaining vendor quotes Support company purchasing activities Understand how quality issues can impact product costs and purchasing decisions Perform other duties as assignedWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
