Job Description:
Buyer - Direct Hire Sharonville, Ohio Paying $70,000 to $74,000 per year First shift Direct hire with our client Our client is seeking an experienced Buyer with raw materials purchasing experience to support their manufacturing operation by managing supplier relationships, overseeing material procurement, and contributing to overall supply chain performance. This position plays a key role in ensuring raw materials are available to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards, cost controls, and efficient inventory levels. The Buyer will work closely with multiple internal departments to support operational goals and continuous improvement efforts. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Review MRP requirements on a daily basis to ensure timely ordering of raw materials needed to support the production schedule
  • Manage all phases of the purchase order process including creation, review, follow?up, and coordination through final payment
  • Build and maintain productive, long?term supplier partnerships that support quality, delivery, and cost objectives for raw material suppliers
  • Maintain inventory levels for raw materials that support operational needs and align with the organization's inventory strategy and performance targets
  • Support the Receiving team by ensuring suppliers provide accurate and complete documentation prior to shipment
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers for assigned materials, primarily focused on raw materials , as well as MRO items, non?stock materials, and Kanban?driven orders as needed
  • Handle RFQ activities and evaluate supplier proposals for raw materials
  • Partner with the Quality team to establish product specifications and quality expectations for raw materials and supplied goods
  • Assist the Quality Department with raw material defect reviews, CAPA investigations, and communication with internal partners and suppliers
  • Identify opportunities to reduce raw material costs while maintaining quality and delivery reliability
  • Work with leadership to evaluate supply chain risks related to raw material sourcing and help develop contingency plans
  • Monitor and report supplier performance trends
  • Collaborate with Warehouse and Accounting teams to resolve receiving or invoicing discrepancies

  • Bachelor's degree with at least two years of related experience, or equivalent relevant work experience
Required:
raw materials purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with ERP or MRP systems
