role. Our customer is currently seeking a qualified rockstar as a BUYER.Pay:
DOE- 55K-70
K Summary:
The primary function of this position is to coordinate the procurement of all commodities needed to fulfill inventory requirements and customer service goals in the most cost-effective manner by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating all activities related to procurement of products for wholesale distribution. Analyzes (RRAR) daily requirement reports to determine purchasing needs and reviews all stock levels to achieve company goals. Reviews all non stock and special order demands, previous days purchase orders, price discrepancies, and unusual order entries at the Branch level. Review and research special freight quotes, monthly inventory reports, rebate thresholds and maintains integrity of CSD data including pricing, descriptions, vendors, and arp's. Researches and troubleshoots problems including quality issues, invoices discrepancies, and vendor returns. Expedites open warehouse transfers, issue purchase orders, match confirmations and enters data into the inventory management system CSD. Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements. Solicits and evaluates proposals from vendors. Holds meetings or discussions to review new products, discontinued items and economic conditions for assigned commodities. Develops and maintains vendor relationships and negotiates vendor pricing, delivery, and purchase terms. Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.Core Competencies:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of CSD Inventory Management software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.Physical Demands:
