Job Description

Temp-Perm Job Summary The Buyer / Materials Planner is responsible for effective quoting, planning, and procurement of raw materials, MRO, tooling, and services to support an electronics contract manufacturing environment. This role ensures inventory levels align with production requirements, business plans, and cost objectives while maintaining compliance with
ISO-9001
quality standards. Key Responsibilities Quote, plan, and procure raw materials, MRO, tooling, and services Plan and procure inventory for assigned commodities in alignment with business needs Collaborate with management to establish and maintain appropriate safety stock levels Obtain bids, pricing, and lead times; place purchase orders based on approved requisitions Ensure timely order placement and delivery scheduling to meet production demands Review MRP requirements regularly and adjust inventory levels accordingly in a cost-efficient manner Participate in supplier selection, qualification, and ongoing performance evaluation Process defective material, returns, and debit memos Support cost reduction initiatives as directed by management Ensure compliance with
ISO-9001
quality standards and company procedures Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in Materials Planning, Purchasing, or Supply Chain roles 3-5 years of experience purchasing passive electronic components Hands-on experience with MRP systems Proficiency in MS Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Experience with Oracle ERP systems preferred APICS certification a plus #
